After painting the shape first with Pastel variants, then with a bristly Water Color variant, 
I used several Layers, duplicated some of them, applied Composite Methods to some, painted a background using a custom Digital Water Color variant, applied the Woodcut Effect to the painted shape, and both the Woodcut and Serigraphy Effect to the background. Last, I noticed a reddish glow in the upper part of the shape's "chest" and decided it must be a heart. I dragged a heart from the Selection Portfolio, filled it with red, then applied Glass Distortion, duplicated the heart twice, applied Composite Methods to the top two, and decided it was time to stop.

Lots could be improved here, but it was fun, and I found a couple of new twists on these  techniques I'd like to use again (if I can remember them!).

It's the first time in ages I've been able to stop long enough to play and I can tell you.. it's a good thing! Feel like I've been on a long vacation. Aren't we the lucky ones, to have art interwoven into our lives!
