| I took just a little extra time
with this image, to Distort the once-round lavendar-blue,
starry "doughnut" and painted on the Layer Mask to make it appear
to hang at the end of the "branch"/"hammock"/"bed". All of the strokes
were done loosely and quickly and the whole image took about a half hour
to complete. Again, the first strokes were done without a plan and the
rest were built on what I "saw" as they were made.
Here's how the Brush and image were
created, on a 500 x 500 pixel 300 ppi black Canvas:
1.
Made a Pattern from some random brush strokes to which
I applied:
-
Effects menu,
Esoterica, Apply
Marbling
2.
With my new pattern selected in the Patterns
palette, chose the
Pen brush, Soft Edge Pattern Brush variant
from the Brushes palette.
3.
In the Brush Controls palette, used
the same settings as in the image named
"PATTERN
PEN PORPOISES, GABBY GRUBS, BABBLING BALLOONS, OR WHO?":
4.
Painted brush strokes and used the Layer
Mask as described above.
