The "CHARACTER MATTERS" section of PIXELALLEY is dedicated to enhancement of letters and symbols. On the next few pages you'll find various samples, containing words, letters, and ornamental characters.

All of these were created in Painter versions 4, 5, and 6. Below each Painter 6 image is a brief overview of the methods used. Where memory allows, I've also included descriptions for the older images.
