Uninstall Painter 7, Reinstall,
then Install the Painter 7 Update

The Uninstall/reinstall/install Painter 7 Update procedure needs to be done in a certain way to be extra safe. 

1. Move any files you created from the Painter 7 folders into a backup folder outside of the Painter 7 folders.

2. Uninstall (in Windows, using Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs).

3. Manually delete any remaining Painter 7 folders and files.

4. Reboot.

5. Install Painter 7.

6. Immediately install the Painter 7 Update (see Direct URLs to All Files in the Painter 7 Update Package).

7. Reboot.

8. Launch Painter 7.
